H-105 ICMCT Course One

A. Objective: The objective of this course is to give the students a different perspective approach to understanding hypnosis. They will learn modification of various techniques and how to implement them for use with their client.

E. Description: Students are given a brief overview and definitions of hypnosis. The areas of application for behavior modification through the use of hypnosis is discussed. Ethical practice is addressed and rapport with the client is explained. The students are introduced to a different style of hypnosis technique. The theory and application for this different approach is explained. Sitting and supine position of client for the use of these techniques are explained. Additional scripts for inductions and mental relaxation using compounding and a variation in number counting is given, described and practiced.

F. Teaching Methods: The class instructions will include theory, lecture, class discussion, practice sessions video taped and critiqued by students and instructors, student demonstrations, and small group activities.

G. Testing: Students will be asked to demonstrate all of the techniques learned at appropriate times during the day. Students will also be required to take and pass a written examination at the completion of the course.

H-106 ICMCT Course Two

A. Objective: sugestibility and induction techniques, and deepening of the hypnotic state. When and how to use them in various combinations with the client to achieve desired results will also be taught.

E. Description: This course contains more techniques and methods for induction, suggestion formation, and deepening of the hypnotic state. Included are step-by-step instructions for using various techniques and methods to aid the client in achieving a more profound state. Students will learn how to teach the client self-hypnosis and how to utilize various levels of depth to enable the client to achieve his goals. Students will learn hypnotic depth testing, its effects, and what is necessary to guide the client to a more profound state. The student will also learn to recognize characteristics of depth and how to formulate suggestions necessary to aid the client.
