International Council for Medical and Clinical Therapists

The International Council for Medical and Clinical Therapists (ICMCT) was formed to qualify and self-regulate health care professionals in Medical, Dental, Rehabilitation, Therapy and Hypnosis fields as part of adjunct and complimentary modalities of treatment. The council recognizes the need for and promotes continuing education and professional networking. It offers its membership extensive ongoing certification. ICMCT credentials require members to commit to and demonstrate ongoing high levels of knowledge and professional competence, thereby, providing a mechanism for recognition in the Medical and Clinical fields..

Membership Levels

Membership in the International Council for Medical and Clinical Therapists (ICMCT) may be applied for in five levels of professionalism for hypnotherapists and are as follows:
1. *Certified Hypnotherapists (C.Ht.)* Prerequisites: Completion of the Basic Hypnosis Course given by the ICMCT or any affiliated organization. Annual Dues: $65.00
2. Intermediate Hypnotherapist (I.Ht.) Prerequisites: Completion of the Intermediate Hypnosis Course given by the ICMCT or any affiliated organization. Annual Dues: $75.00
3. *Advanced Hypnotherapists (A.Ht.)* Prerequisites: Completion of the Advanced Hypnosis Course given by the ICMCT. Annual Dues: $85.00
4. Board Certified Hypnotherapists (B.C.H.) Prerequisites: Completion of the Advanced Hypnosis Course given by the ICMCT and five years of practical experience. Annual Dues: $125.00
5. *Board Certified Counselling Hypnotherapists (B.C.C.H.)* Prerequisites: A psychology/psychiatry related degree from an accredited college and completion of the Advanced Hypnosis Course given by the ICMCT. Annual Dues: $175.00
6. *Board Certified Medical Hypnotherapists (B.C.M.H.)* Prerequisites: A medical, dental or health related degree from an accredited college and completion of the Medical Hypnosis Course given by the ICMCT. Annual Dues: $175.00
Annual membership renewal at levels 1,2,3, and 4 requires the completion of at least 15 hours of related course work during the year or the advancement to a higher level. There is no requirement for ongoing course work for renewal at level 5 and 6.
